If Jesus is a true prophet of Allah, why are his words discounted?

';What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' ';

Matthew 15:11

';Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' ';

Matthew 15:19

Or how about his instructions regarding prayer? (Matthew 6:5-15)

Were those words ';corrupted';?If Jesus is a true prophet of Allah, why are his words discounted?
I wonder why Jesus is brought everytime and compared to Mohammed (read his history to know what he was). There is just no comparison between the two and their teachings.

The words of muslims and their thoughts of and on Jesus are meaningless. They still continue distorting history as was done 1500 years ago. Jesus and His teachings are immortal just like the above. It was true then and it is true now.If Jesus is a true prophet of Allah, why are his words discounted?

16.101

YUSUFALI: When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, ';Thou art but a forger';: but most of them understand not.

PICKTHAL: And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth - they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not.

SHAKIR: And when We change (one) communication for (another) communication, and Allah knows best what He reveals, they say: You are only a forger. Nay, most of them do not know.

016.102

YUSUFALI: Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims.

PICKTHAL: Say: The holy Spirit hath delivered it from thy Lord with truth, that it may confirm (the faith of) those who believe, and as guidance and good tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allah).

SHAKIR: Say: The Holy spirit has revealed it from your Lord with the truth, that it may establish those who believe and as a guidance and good news for those who submit.
His words were not really discounted exactly. Mohammad just came to 'edit' what Jesus said and then add to it. Muslims see it as a part by part process. Also the records of what he said might not be what he actually said. There are many ways toanswer this question...but I'm tired.
peace be upon u

why would an All-Wise Creator instruct His servant peace be upon him to promote harmful behaviour?

did Jesus peace be upon him encourage others to drink alcohol, harmful? eat pork, harmful?

theres alot of details added in to the Torah %26amp; Gospel

And the believers, men and women, are protecting friends one of another; they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and they establish worship and they pay the poor-due, and they obey Allah and His messenger. As for these, Allah will have mercy on them. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Wise. (71) Allah promiseth to the believers, men and women, Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide - blessed dwellings in Gardens of Eden. And - greater (far)! - acceptance from Allah. That is the supreme triumph. (72)

read the Qur'an http://www.quranexplorer.com/quran/

Sami' Allahu liman hamida. Rabbana lakal hamd.

Allah hears all who praise Him. Our Lord, for You is all praise.

I dont know about the above words, but the whole Bible lost its credibility for being a corrupted scripture. We dont really know if any part of the Bible is written by God, Jesus or man.....Its all mixed up.
We do not know the words of Jesus any more then we know the words of Muhammad. Does not stop us from making them up but we don't know!
Because those words are not his words. As you would already know, the New Testament was written by Jesus' (pbuh) disciples not Jesus (pbuh) himself so it was inevitable that they would mix and forget words. The New Testament is just like the hadith of Muhammad (pbuh)

5';And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love(A) to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others.(B) Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6But when you pray,(C) go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret.(D) And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

7';And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as(E) the Gentiles do, for(F) they think that they will be heard(G) for their many words. 8Do not be like them,(H) for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9(I) Pray then like this:...';(Lord's Prayer)

The parts where it says not to pray just to show off-that is a big warning in the Quraan too.

And the lord's prayer is strinkingly similar to the prayer we recite-';Al-Fatiha'; (first chapter in the Quraan) that you won't believe it. Check it out:
