A friend told me that Leonardo da Vinci painted Jesus is this true?

The reason I am asking is all of the pictures I have seen of Jesus show a normal skin color. Is it possible that he could have been painted and the person that did it was such a professional you couldn麓t tell unless you got really close? I don麓t think this is true but i doesn麓t hurt to ask.A friend told me that Leonardo da Vinci painted Jesus is this true?
All paintings were made loooooooooong after Jesus died and are only the artists thoughts as to what he would have looked like.

Leonardo Di Vinci painted ';The Last Supper'; which is probably the most famous painting of Christ and his Apostles in the world.





Did Jesus pose for it? No. Pretty much any painting you see of Jesus was created well after his death and is open to the artist's interpretation of how he or she wishes Jesus to look.





Jesus being a Jew from the area of the Middle east, he probably would have had fairly tanned skin and a darker complection, but seeing as how most depictions of him were done by European Christian artists, they tend to portray him as Caucasian to make him more appealing to the masses.
He painted Jesus in his work ';The Last Supper.'; In that work, Jesus was portrayed as fair-skinned. He also portrayed Jesus as fair-skinned as an infant in various works (';Virgin of the Rocks';; ';Virgin and Child with St. Anne and John the Baptist,'; ';Adoration of the Magi,'; etc.), and as a fair-skinned adult in others (';Baptism of the Christ';).





Whether that's ';normal'; skin coloring depends on your definition of ';normal.'; Da Vinci lived many hundreds of years after Jesus, so a caucasian/European Jesus was simply his interpretation, and not actual observation.
He painted his boss Cesare Borgia as Jesus... Cesare Borgia was a Catholic Cardinal son of a Pope, serial killer, gangster, had an incestous affair with his sister Lucrezia all her life also featured in the last supper. Known as the first crime family. It's where poisoning someone became known as the Cup of Borgia because he'd poison people. There's the real da vinci code.. the Borgias... Christians worship the image of a mass murderer.. the Jesus of bible mythology isn't a man at all.
Leonardo DaVinci lived during the rennaissance period. (April 15, 1452 鈥?May 2, 1519).

Uhh... what's ';normal'; skin colour? Human's come in a pretty decent variety. Do you think he might have been blue or purple?
no one know what Christ looked like, Isaiah gave a brief description in Isiaiah 53. and Leornardo da vinci was gay.
Da Vinci painted Jesus long after Jesus had died. Its not like Da Vinci saw Jesus with his own eyes.

Jesus was a frequent subject of most Renascence painters including da vinci
well he did paint the last super so he did paint Jesus. He did not meet him but he did paint him.
Leonardo da Vinci was not yet alive when Jesus existed.
