By what name do you think the true church of Jesus Christ is called?

There are so many titles claiming to be the true church of Jesus Christ. Your wisdom is wonderful and powerful yet I cannot find you.By what name do you think the true church of Jesus Christ is called?
The true body of Christ is not a denomination. Those who accept the atonement and follow the teachings of Christ are the Church.By what name do you think the true church of Jesus Christ is called?
The Catholic Church is the only one that can trace it's lineage back to Pentacost. It wasn't called the Catholic Church until Ignatious of Antioch, but oh well. Regardless of what you read about Constantine, the evidence is there to prove it for anyone that wants to read it.

The second Pope's name was Linus.
The Kingdom of God,a spiritual church and the true church that will stand forever: Daniel 2:44 ';And in the days of these kings (all His chosen) shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.';
Finding God is simpler than you might think... and it is an ';easy Yoke'; as Christ said. He also gave the key to lighting up the light of God so that we could see and find God...

it was all in that Kingdom Gospel he preached, which is pretty much ignored these days in favor of Paul's sacrifice gospel (which Christ did not preach). Click on my avatar if you want a description of that original gospel of light.

I would not name the church, because I don't recall him every building a church. He was sowing seeds that produce an abundant crop.
It is not so much what it is called as what it preaches.

If churches teach doctrines which are not in the inspired word of God in the Scriptures then they are not true. There are those who think that there are new revelations since the books of our present Bible. I believe this to be a lie, and I am sorry if anyone finds this too blunt.

Galatians 1

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

2 Timothy 3

16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
the thing about that is that you have to trust your own judgment and read the bible for your self and interpret it. then you find a church that follows as closely as possible what you find the scripture to mean. you have to find him for your self. nobody can tell you what to believe. do not rely on churches but insted on your own judgment and the word of jesus christ. and just remember he will help those who ask for it.
the true name is Christianity. the catholic church is the first beast in the book of revelation. each beast represents a kingdom not the Antichrist.

revelation 16:13

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Christianity is about trust and the relationship that you have with God and Jesus. first you need to have faith to start that relationship with them, then it just becomes trust after that. Jesus said, you have to ask for forgiveness AND to repent from your sins. the only way to repent is to get arid of all your pride within your heart. pride breeds arrogance and arrogance breeds death. God hates pride and arrogance so it is sin. you have to humble yourself in order to repent from your sins. Jesus died for your soul not for your sins. no one wants your damn sins!! he took your sins upon himself so he would be punished for them instead of you. he gave his life for yours. he now owns you. you have to live for God and not for yourself. if you live for yourself you will die. we are all evil so we have to live for them. God had created the universe so he makes the rules.
All that will matter is, did you belong to the Church of Philadelphia? See Revelation chapter 3:8

';I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.';

If you are part of the church of Philadelphia, it doesn't matter what the name of your local church is.

**What?Me?Worry?: Thank you.
The true Church of Jesus Christ is not a building and does not have a name other than Christian. We believers are the Church, the body of Christ and we are the only light the dark world sees.

Names don't matter. What matters is content of Biblical teaching and whether it is in line with the entire Scripture.
originally it was known as ';the way'; then at antioch the followers were called christians. the follow up of all that down through the centuries is it is still called christian but universal or catholic , meaning world wide of which the succesor to peter is domiciled in rome
I would think it would be called the church of Jesus Christ.

but it is just a guess. Maybe it would be called texas roadhouse, their rolls are heavenly! Maybe it would be called the Lutheran church and we could put Martin Luther's name before Jesus Christ's name.

MMMMMMM Texas road house rolls........I am getting hungry.
Are names important? Sometimes they are. Who’s name do you want on your paycheck? Does it matter if someone else’s name is on the title of your car or the deed to your home? You work hard to purchase these items, you own them, and, therefore, you want the proper name on the documents that show this ownership.

Our Lord also made a purchase. He bought the church at a very costly price (Acts 20:28). He built it and called it “my church” (Matt.16: 13-18). He has rightful ownership.

Other references to the church in the Bible show this ownership. These include “the churches of Christ” (Rom.16: 16), and “the church of God” (Acts 20:28), etc. But, unlike these names, many churches today have names that are not found in Scripture, and that do not identify the owner and builder.

But notice, Christ did not purchase a building. The church is made up of the His followers. When we wear the name “church of Christ”, we name Him as the “head of the church” (Eph.1: 22-23) and we identify ourselves as a group that is trying to follow the “doctrine of Christ”(2 John 9). In contrast, a member of a denomination is identified by name as one who follows the leadership and teaching (doctrine) of that denomination.

Christ’s headship over the church is compared to a marriage relationship (Eph. 5: 21-32). Jesus loves the church and it is called the bride of Christ. The bride, the church, shows honor to the groom when she agrees to wear his name.

Suppose, for example, Mr. Smith asks his girlfriend to marry him. She agrees, but says, “Our friend Mr. Jones is a good man, so when we get married, instead of being called Mrs. Smith, I want to be called Mrs. Jones.” Would Mr. Smith have a reason to question her loyalty to him? Would he feel honored? Why would a bride wear another man’s name? Why would a church want to wear a man-made name?

We don’t have to wear man-made names. Just as the church is called several names in Scripture, we as individuals are given names we can wear. Followers of Christ are simply called things like “saints” or “disciples”. But there is also a specific name given. 1 Peter 4:16 says, “If a man suffer as a Christian… let him glorify God in this name”. Since the Bible gives us a name to wear (Christian), we do not need another name, but some are not content to be known simply by “this name”. Some want to add another name, but we were never meant to be hyphen-named Christians.

The Corinthians had this problem. Some were Paul-Christians, Apollos-Christians, and Cephus-Christians. (1 Cor.1: 10-13). Because they were divided by these various names, they were called “carnal” and not “spiritual”(1 Cor.3: 1-4). You see, a single name promotes unity, but multiple names encourage divisions. We should be content to wear the name God has given. (Isaiah 62:2)

So, is a name important? Names show honor, identify ownership, promote unity (or division), recognize leadership, signify submission, denote doctrine, and demonstrate loyalty. If these are important, then names are also important.
ONE CHURCH - Is there to be only one Church or many? According to Scripture, Christ wanted us to be one (John 17:22-23). We are all as a Church to be of one mind and to think the same (Philippians 2:2; Romans 15:5). There is only to be one ';faith'; (Ephesians 4:3-6), not many. For the Church is Christ's Body and Christ only had one Body, not many. Also, since the Church is Christ's Bride (Ephesians 5:29), can Christ be married to more than one wife (essentially a spiritual form of the the sin of polygamy)? No, Christ can only have one wife (i.e., one Church, not many).

Every Christian believes that Jesus Christ established and sustains a community of faith, hope and love for all believers. This community we call His Church. The Church that Christ founded is the Catholic Church which has a formal earthly structure established by Christ and which continues under His authority and protection.

Jesus did three things that established the framework of His Church. First, He chose humans to carry out His work. He appointed Peter to be the visible head of the Church. Jesus said to Peter, ';You are Rock and on this rock I will build my Church.'; (Matthew 16: 18) Jesus said ';build,'; as in to create a structure. Jesus built His structure on specifically chosen human beings Peter and the apostles.

Second, Jesus gave Peter and the apostles the power and authority to carry out His work. ';Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven.';(Matthew 16:19; 18:18) ';Receive the Holy Spirit, whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven, whose sins you retain, they are retained.';(John 20:23)

Third, Jesus gave Peter and the apostles commands as to what that work should be. At the last supper, He commanded, ';Do this in memory of Me.'; (Luke 22:19) He commanded them to ';Make disciples of all nations'; (Matthew 28:19), and to ';Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.'; (Mark 16:15)

The Catholic Church is the only church that can claim to have been founded by Christ personally. Every other church traces its lineage back to a mere human person such as Martin Luther or John Wesley. The Catholic Church can trace its lineage back to Jesus Christ who appointed St. Peter as the first pope. This line of popes has continued unbroken for almost 2,000 years.

God rules, instructs and sanctifies His people through His Church. Under her teaching office, the Catholic Church preserves the Word of God. She is the custodian, keeper, dispenser and interpreter of teachings of Christ. And she accomplishes this under the protection of the Holy Spirit.

FOUR MARKS OF THE TRUE CHURCH

If we wish to locate the Church founded by Jesus, we need to locate the one that has the four chief marks or qualities of his Church. The Church we seek must be one, holy, catholic, and apostolic.

The Church Is One (Rom. 12:5, 1 Cor. 10:17, 12:13, CCC 813–822)

Jesus established only one Church, not a collection of differing churches (Lutheran, Baptist, Anglican, and so on). The Bible says the Church is the bride of Christ (Eph. 5:23–32). Jesus can have but one spouse, and his spouse is the Catholic Church.

His Church also teaches just one set of doctrines, which must be the same as those taught by the apostles (Jude 3). This is the unity of belief to which Scripture calls us (Phil. 1:27, 2:2).

Although some Catholics dissent from officially-taught doctrines, the Church’s official teachers—the pope and the bishops united with him—have never changed any doctrine. Over the centuries, as doctrines are examined more fully, the Church comes to understand them more deeply (John 16:12–13), but it never understands them to mean the opposite of what they once meant.

The Church Is Holy (Eph. 5:25–27, Rev. 19:7–8, CCC 823–829)

By his grace Jesus makes the Church holy, just as he is holy. This doesn’t mean that each member is always holy. Jesus said there would be both good and bad members in the Church (John 6:70), and not all the members would go to heaven (Matt. 7:21–23).

But the Church itself is holy because it is the source of holiness and is the guardian of the special means of grace Jesus established, the sacraments (cf. Eph. 5:26).

The Church Is Catholic (Matt. 28:19–20, Rev. 5:9–10, CCC 830–856)

Jesus’ Church is called catholic (';universal'; in Greek) because it is his gift to all people. He told his apostles to go throughout the world and make disciples of ';all nations'; (Matt. 28:19–20).

For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has carried out this mission, preaching the good news that Christ died for all men and that he wants all of us to be members of his universal family (Gal. 3:28).
Simply-Apostolic.The Lord sent out the Apostles to preach to the world the truth of His word. The Bible talks about how they responded to the gospel after the preaching of the Apostles doctrine.....There is more to it, but that is a paraphrase.
Apostolic.

They follow the book of Acts.

Maybe no one has the answer or everyone has been looking in the wrong place. Maybe you're not worshiping the correct god if the followers can't all agree on one church.
we are the church, the people, no titles, we follow and love our saviour jesus christ
The Bride of Christ.

No man made church is the true church. Salvation is an individual decision.

The only Church directly connected to Jesus Christ is the one He personally founded upon the apostles, the only Church that existed for the first 1,000+ years of Christianity, the Catholic Church. All others exist in open violation of His divine will ';that they all may be one';.
