IS it true that after Jesus was crucified he went to hell for us?

What did he do while he was there?IS it true that after Jesus was crucified he went to hell for us?
dont believe in jesus. There was no proof he was the son of god.IS it true that after Jesus was crucified he went to hell for us?
The bible says that Jesus became sin. He just didn't have it rubbed on him. He became sin. And sin is ushered into hell at the point of death. In Acts the bible says that Jesus was loosed from the pains of death. There was no pain in the upper regions of hell. Abrahams bosom. It says that he was justified in the spirit. That means he had to become sin to be justified. IF JESUS HAD NOT GONE TO HELL. ALL OF US WOULD HAVE TO.

All affirmations are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

The story goes he saved the good and righteous who were born before his time like the Jewish patriarchs and brought them to his Fathers version of heaven.
jesus isnt real
He opened a door that could never be shut. So that we could escape hell and go to heaven.
he grabbed a Mai Tai from the tiki torch bar
he consulted with the saints so the bible says the saints in hades what is the 13 yr old talking about?
no, but he supposedly went to ';the Bosom of Abraham'; to preach to the old testament folks ...or so the story goes
No. Jesus went to the paradise portion of Sheol. Sheol was composed of th Torments section and the paradise section. Now believers go directly to God upon death. Hades is the Greek translation of Sheol. The KJV sometimes improperly translates it as Hell.

Remember Jesus telling of the rich man and poor man? The rich man wound up in Hell and the poor man wound up in ';Abraham's bosom'; (paradise.)
Jesus went 'to the center of the earth' and released those waiting in the 'Bosom of Abraham'...those who had trusted God before Christ came to earth. Those people even walked the earth for a short time before heading to heaven. 'The Bosom of Abraham' is empty now, but the 'place of torment' is constantly receiving those who deny Christ as Lord and Savior.

The phrase ';Bosom of Abraham'; refers to the place of comfort in sheol (Greek: hades) where the Jews said the righteous dead awaited Judgment Day. The phrase ';Bosom of Abraham'; occurs in the Bible only in the New Testament in Luke 16:22-23 in Jesus' story of Lazarus and the Rich Man.
Honestly, I don't know. I think the idea came from this passage, but it is considered difficult to fully understand. Commentators have explained it in various ways.

1 Peter 3:18-22 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, (19) through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison (20) who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, (21) and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also鈥攏ot the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, (22) who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand鈥攚ith angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.
He did not go there for us

He went to preach to the spirits there and to set the captives free
He was a heretic who was crucified, just like 1000s of others
The Creator is everywhere as is heaven, anywhere else is only imagined.
Since hell is the common grave of mankind ... yes He did. He was dead for parts of three days. The Bible speaks of death as 'sleep'. So He was asleep in death ... awaiting His resurrection.
HE DIDN'T GO TO HELL.

Sorry but some people make me soooo angry.
