perhaps you need to be stoned or blown up before you realiseHow do you know if the Bible is true? Is Jesus really the son of God and truly did all those miracles?
The Bible is a collection of stories and myths. Some have a basis in fact. Some are ';borrowed'; from neighboring cultures (Egypt, Babylon, etc.) And others are frauds or adulterations of previous ';scriptures';.
In short, you have to be a very astute, open minded scholar with much research into Biblical Studies to even hope to be able to discern between the fact and the fiction of the Bible. Spend a few years in a seminary if you don't believe this is so.
The purported miracles were included because the early church fathers didn't think they could make a case for their erroneous teachings without implying that the alleged teacher was divine or supernatural. How do you know if the Bible is true? Is Jesus really the son of God and truly did all those miracles?
Because when I accepted the Bible as God and as Truth.... it became absolutely real to me.... It's the exact opposite of our physical life, where we don't believe anything that we can't prove... God's salvation is mystical and once we believe, then we know!
I can guarantee that because it happened to me
You know it when your saved. Jesus said he was the Son of God, and said He could forgive sin as well as many other things that mean you have only three choices
Here are your only choices.
1. He was the Son of God and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
2. He was a lunatic.
3. He was a liar.
Be very careful.
You're going to hear a load of crap about ';No! It's all a lie'; or ';Yes, its true!!';. I would not recommend listening to either of them - what you are asking is a question that requires thought, not a snap dismissal. You should not base your decision on what someone else tells you. Especially not the on the internet. ( Some people have just copied and pasted bible verses from other sites. They obviously just care about getting answer points, rather than providing an answer that really helps.
Is the bible true? This doesn't matter. There are lots of things written in the bible, so I wouldn't go asking such vague questions as that. On a historical accuracy test, (like a proper routine test that historians do all the time, not some jazzy-but-useless TV ';analysis'; that gives no final result) the bible scores pretty highly, but you'll want to note that most of the bible is either profecy, or ';when the assyrians attacked the babylonians in 123bc... etc, blah blah.';
Miracles don't matter either - If Jesus did do them, then he was the Son of God. If he didn't, then he wasn't or else so surrounded by myth that that means nothing. So we are left with you middle question.
This question is far more important than all the others, because it means something for you. If Jesus is the son of God, then it matters a lot how you live you life. If Jesus, being the son of God, being God, absolutely perfect and sacred came down to earth in the form of a jim'll fix-it carpenter, and allowed himself to be nailed to a stick, dyinging of fluid in the lungs, then you shoud devote you life to being his slave. Except the Bible says Jesus doesn't want slaves - he wants equals. The Bible is clear that Jesus came down on a suicide mission, choosing to die, to set those free who, if he was to be just, should die. Instead, says the bible, he, being infinitely holy, took our death, so we would have to suffer for an infinite amount of time in hell.
What this means for us is that Jesus loved us so much that he would rather take all 6 billion (and more) lots of hellish pain, and be tied to a stick (says you - '; I thought he was nailed?'; says me - '; Roman crucifiction was a way of torture and humiliaton first, and klling people second. Hands and ankles were nailed, but the nails were taken out and re-used, and the prisoner was left tied to the frame by string.';).
This means that if Jesus is the son of God,then we need to become Christians. But we can't all just become Christians on a whim!?! We need authentication.
This is where the Holy Spirt comes in. The Holy Spirit is God. It's God comng down and restoring our souls so that we look perfect to him (he can do that 'cos Jesus suffered). AND YOU CAN FEEL HIM.
This is the most important fact. Not Phisically. Spiritually. (thinks you- ';Oh, you feel him spiritually do you? NUTTER!! You don't feel a thing!';
My point is that you should try this stuff. If it doesn't work then good for you. But Christianity is not about just believing - you can't be an armchair Chrisian. If You encunter the Holy Spirit, you will know about it.
RECOMMENDATION:
I do not recommend accepting that ';this stuff'; is probably true, and doing nothing. That's worse than not thinking about it. You should go to a big event, with lots of people like yourself. You could try going to church , but you'll probably hate it, because most percieved ';churches'; are dry and horrible, full of empty religion and tradition, with very little substance at the core. There are good churches(mine was selected to host the channel 4 music show, and previously had been owned by the local transport beureu. If you were confused about what someone was talking about you would just call out your question), but you probably won't find any easily. You should go to an event, and ask God to show himself. If you really mean it (not just going ';ah ,go on God, show ya self mate! See! Ya can't! ';) He will speak.
i ask the same question how do you know if the torah, gospel or any other book is true from GOD?
well it have to
1- make sense (thats mean dont tell me GOD is just but iam born with a sin which i didnt make or that a man is GOD, or 3 in 1 trinity,or that prophets do incest...)
2-not contain contradictions
3-answer our questions related to GOD
i add one more question.how do you know the final message
1-preserved (dont tell me belief in a book to be the word of GOD while we dont know its authors and have been translated and changed many times
2-must be mentioned in the previous books
as for Is Jesus really the son of God and truly did all those miracles?

';I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it and it becomes a bird by God's leave. And I heal the blind, and the lepers, and I raise the dead by God's leave.';Noble Quran 3:49]

The bible is true because it's god's word.
And it's god's word because it says so.
Since it's true, it must be right about it being god's word, so it must be true, making it god's word....
I think it's really funny that people quote from the Bible in their arguments for proving that what is written in the Bible is the truth. This is something that I think we will never know.
There is one way to know; study the bible and ask God to reveal to you if you can trust His word as true.
If you seek Him truly, He will not turn you away.
It's all a myth. There is no historic evidence of Jesus. It is full of contradictions. I'm actually reading it a third time.
Jesus IS The Living Word! (John1:1.) Jesus also IS God!
The Bible is true because God wrote it.
Faith, and yes that is what i believe.
No one really knows that. Maybe it is true, or maybe it is not
short answer, it is not real
